To view the files in this section of the site you will need to have a CAD viewer installed on your machine. To download the right version for your purposes please use the following guide.
Choose the right viewer for your requirements:
  • Need only to view the files, layers etc and have limited experience with installing and troubleshooting programs on your machine, please install the WHIP! viewer.
  • Need to be able to mark-up drawings and are reasonably experienced with installing and troubleshooting programs, please download Voloview Express.
  • Need to be able to mark-up drawings, view DWG's and DWF's, measure area, perform 'to scale plotting' and are reasonably experienced with installing and troubleshooting programs, please download the full version of Voloview
Some notes on WHIP!
WHIP! Release 4 is for users with both browser types and Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 98/95.
WHIP! Release 3 is for Windows NT 3.51 users with Netscape Navigator
WHIP! Should automatically install itself on your machine with the whole process taking no more than ten minutes.

System Requirements

Please note that to view the files you will require -
  • Intel Pentium Pro, Pentium, or 486 PC
  • Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 95, or Windows NT 4.0
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or Netscape Communicator 4.5
Downloading WHIP!
  1. Download your copy of WHIP! Viewer™, the free viewer for .dwf files by clicking once with your mouse on the WHIP! ™ button below.
  2. Enter your name and details in the fields provided and then click on the WHIP!™ logo link on the Web page that is presented. Choose the appropriate version of Whip required for the browser type you are currently running.
  3. The program will automatically download itself. The speed of the download will vary depending upon the speed of your Internet connection. This may take from several minutes to ten minutes to download the executable file to your computers hard drive.
  4. After the control is downloaded, you will be asked if you want to install and run WHIP! Simply click "Yes." Once the installation in complete, you will see a .dwf file with the 'Whip' text appear.
  5. When you have installed this executable file, click once with your mouse on the links below to view the floor plan files.
Troubleshooting WHIP!
Limited support is provided for problems with installing and running WHIP!

Some notes on VoloView
VoloView comes in a 4mb 'Express' version or a 20mb full version. With the express version you can view and markup DWF drawings while the full version will allow you to view, markup and measure DWG and DWF file types.

System Requirements

Please note that to view the files you will require (minimum) Internet browsers - Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01, or 4.0 Service Pack 1, or Netscape Navigator 4.7 to view drawing files with Volo™ View. However, you must have Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01, or 4.0 Service Pack 1 installed on your computer, regardless of which browser you use to view drawing files.
Downloading VoloView
  1. Download your copy of Volo™ View Express by using the link below:
    VoloView Express - Download VoloView
  2. Follow the instructions detailed on the Web page to download the executable file to your computer's hard drive (save to either C:\ or D:\ drive). When the download is complete, make sure that your internet browser is not running.
  3. Locate the downloaded executable file for Volo™ View Express and double click the file for installation purposes. Follow the installation instructions.
  4. When you have installed this executable file, launch your internet browser and click once with your mouse on the hypertext links below to view the floor plan files.
Troubleshooting VoloView (Express)
VoloView Express and Full Version have a number of known bugs a list of which can be found by browser searching for VoloView Express or Voloview at http://support.autodesk.com
